BASE FOR EMBROIDERY
The base for embroidery is a new material; wide (220 cms) needlefelt. It’s colour is tile red and it is available in two different thicknesses.
The thicker base is merino wool 350 grams per sq. metre and it is needled so that it can be divided into three thinner layers and use the material as thick as your work requires. The same base can be used for wall textiles, embroidered jewellery or accessories. The thicker embroidery base costs 32 € per metre (one metre is 2,2 sq.m).
The thinner base has the same amount of merino wool as in coloured prefelts = 150 grams in sq.metre. The width is 220 cms, colour is tile red and the price 25 € per metre.
This material can be used as the coloured prefelts (scarves, accessories etc). It can be streched to become even thinner or some pieces of wool can be taken off the top in order to make easy material for see-through nuno-textiles.
